The Benefits of Morpheus8 at Artisan Beauté in Atlanta
So many of our patients come to Artisan Beauté asking about the benefits of Morpheus8 . For good reason. It’s probably the most talked about procedure on the market today and we’re genuinely thrilled to offer it at our Atlanta Medspa. There’s a reason everyone is calling Morpheus8 the “non-surgical facelift.” Morpheus8, named after the Greek God of dreams (he could change human forms no less), uses the power of micro needling and fractionated radio frequency energy to combat that loose skin you’re not loving. To find out more about Morpheus8, we caught up with Meg Joyner, aesthetician and laser technician at Artisan Beauté to get her take on Morpheus8.
Meg, Tell Us What You Love about Morpheus8?
There’s so much to love! The Morpheus8 treatment allows for dramatic results at a much faster rate than traditional microneedling and really targets that loose and crepey skin my patients complain about. Morpheus8 is minimally invasive, yet the results are extraordinary. Morpheus 8 is a microneedling device which uses high radio frequency, penetrating deep into the lower levels of the skin to inspire collagen production.
"The result? Firming and tightness around your face and neck, to name a few. That said, I'm also using Morpheus8 on other problem areas of the body like the arms and legs."
Who's The Best Candidate for Morpheus 8?
Anybody with slight to moderate laxity seeking some tightening around the neck or jawline. My patients who are dealing with skin that has lost elasticity or have crepey skin are really benefiting from Morpheus8. We’re also treating laxity in skin above the knees, the inner thighs and back of arms.
How Many Morpheus8 Treatments Do You Need?
On average, you'll see great results with Morpheus8 in just 3 to 6 treatments. Of course, this all depends on how much laxity we are dealing with.
"At Artisan Beauté, every treatment is customized to our patients. That's what really sets us apart."
We look at skin quality and thickness. Age also factors into what I’m trying to achieve. Am I trying to address fine lines or get more tightening? All that will determine the depth and intensity I bring to the procedure. The machine does the work, but can only do what the practitioner tells it to do. That’s why it’s so important to see a skilled practitioner like we have here at Artisan Beauté.
What’s the Downtime?
Here’s the beauty of Morpheus8 - it’s minimally invasive so you’re going to experience minimal downtime. I tell my patients to expect some bruising, swelling and dryness for up to a week. And don’t think you can come in on Friday and give a Ted Talk on Monday. However, the true serious downtime is 48 hours and during that time I discourage my patients from working out or using make-up. After that, you can simply rock the results of Morpheus8!
How Long Does Morpheus8 Last?
You’re going to age out of any treatment, but after that initial set of three to six treatments, I recommend that my patients come in once a year for a single treatment to stay ahead of the sagging and crepiness.
Does it Hurt?
My favorite saying is “No pain no gain.” I won’t lie, it’s uncomfortable but is it tolerable? Absolutely. That said, we have different tools to manage a patient’s discomfort. We numb the skin fully and some patients who are sensitive opt for laughing gas. And frankly, I never ever do a treatment that is not worth the end result.
There you have it, the minimally invasive non-surgical facelift that is Morpheus 8.
